Dear Members and Friends
I am very pleased to report that membership of Musselburgh Conservation Society currently stands at 95: I have high hopes that we will soon reach 100+!
The very interesting November talk, Developments at Newhailes and Preston Mill by Rhiannon Naismith of the National Trust for Scotland produced another ‘full house’.
The next talk is The Musselburgh Area Plan – Town Improvements by Stuart Baxter (Area Manager, Musselburgh Area Partnership) on Thursday December 10th at 7.30pm in St Peter’s Church Hall. We hope this opportunity to hear from Stuart will result in an equally good turn-out for what promises to be a very informative talk.
To ensure a packed hall this is also the occasion when the votes are cast to decide the winner of the Society’s Design Award for the best example of design within our community in 2015.
As a further inducement this is our ‘Christmas’ meeting which means – mulled wine & mince pies!
The Summer Visit: ideas for place(s) to visit would still be very welcome! Please let me know!
PS: I will be manning the ‘membership’ table in the hope of receiving more membership fees!
