Musselburgh Conservation Society talk on ‘The Green House’ Inveresk

Dear Members and Friends

Firstly I wish you all a very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.

I am very pleased to report that our membership of Musselburgh Conservation Society  has broken the 100 mark: if you have any friends who might be interested in joining, do please invite them along to a meeting, or let me have their contact details.

The December talk on The Musselburgh Area Plan – Town Improvements  by Stuart Baxter gave us an interesting overview of what the planners are hoping to achieve for the town.

Following voting at this meeting the winner of the Society’s Design Award for the best example of design within our community in 2015 was the Green House in Inveresk.

The next meeting:  Thursday 14th January 2016: 7.30pm at St Peter’s Church Hall.

Coincidentally, the speaker will be Robin Burley, the owner of the Green House, who will tell us all about it. Not to be missed!

The Summer Visit: Although I have received some suggestions for this, further ideas for place(s) to visit would still be very welcome! Please let me know.

Best wishes

Gavin McDowall

Membership Secretary

PS:  I will be manning the ‘membership’ table in the hope of receiving  more membership fees!
