Queen Margaret University is delighted to host the Travelling Gallery in University Square on Monday 7th March, 11am – 5pm. The gallery, one of Creative Scotland‘s portfolio of regularly funds organisations, travels to various locations in Scotland, aiming to make contemporary art accessible to everyone that wants to see it.
Staff, students and Musselburgh residents are welcome to come along and view the exhibition called ‘Here Comes Everybody’ by Kennard Phillipps and Scott Lang. This highly collaborative project uses a combination of mediums and materials such as photomontage, digital print, collage and stencils to address important social concerns, from local to global. With a direct and immediate approach, Here Comes Everybody includes contrasting billboard imagery of London’s slick financial landscape in Canary Wharf against the rough medium of spray paint and stencils reflecting street art and gang tag practice
Thanks to David Stevenson, QMU’s Programme Leader, MA Arts Festival and Cultural Management for helping to bring this exhibition to the University.
